ABOUT CARER SUPPORT

Anne-Marie is the Carer Support Worker at Signpost.  Anne-Marie’s role is to be the first point of contact for carers in Stockport and to provide them with appropriate information, advice and emotional support, to meet their individual needs.

Anne-Marie acts as a gateway to all appropriate services to help carers in their caring role and their personal life.

Anne-Marie works with carers on a one to one basis and in group settings.  She provides emotional support and has an empathic and sensitive approach towards the needs and difficulties faced by carers.  Her aim is to assist and support carers to define and prioritise their own needs and articulate these to appropriate statutory and voluntary agencies.
