We are currently seeking two highly motivated individuals to join our dedicated team at an exciting stage in our development. Following our recent move to the Heaton Centre, we are in the process of restructuring our operations to ensure that we can continue to provide the best possible service for carers in the current financial climate. Monitoring & Finance Officer, 37 hours per week, £21,519 + 5% pension contribution You will be involved in the design and implementation of a computerised management information system to ensure the accurate and timely recording and analysis of data, preparing appropriate financial and statistical reports and maintaining an effective finance function for the organisation. Managing our website and compiling our quarterly newsletter will also be part of your remit.

You will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, ideally gained within the voluntary sector. The ability to set up and manage computerised management information systems is essential together with previous experience of maintaining accounts, including processing of income and expenditure, bank reconciliation, returns and payments to HMRC and production of financial reports

As well as providing telephone cover for the Carer Support & Assessment Team, you will be the central administration point for all carers’ services co-ordinated by the Centre and will also be expected to undertake various administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth running of the Heaton Centre.

You will be an experienced administrator with well-developed IT skills including the ability to use a range of computer packages including MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint. The ability to prioritise your own workload and to work without direct supervision is essential together with a flexible approach and to liaise with carers in an efficient and empathic manner.
