Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Where do we meet?

A. There are two options!

1. We are offering free minibus transport from Signpost HQ (departing around 8.30am returning around 2pm). If you have arranged to travel with us this way, we'll see you at the Heatons Centre (next door to The Heatons Library). Our address for SAT NAV is:

The Heatons Centre

Thornfield Road

Heaton Moor

2. If you would like to make your own way to the Cheese Shop, we will meet you around 10am by the entrance.

Dewlay Cheesemakers

Garstang By-Pass Road

Q. How much does it cost?

A. The cost of entry is £6 per person - please bring the right money, in cash.

Q. Will there be refreshments provided?

A. Refreshments are provided on arrival and there will also be cheese-tasting opportunities after the tour. There is a shop selling cheese but not a cafe as such. Please do bring your own drinks/snacks and a packed lunch to eat on the minibus if you feel you would like one.

Q. Can I bring the person I care for?

A. Yes! If this would be a suitable activity for you to do together, the person you care for is welcome to come with you. You are also welcome to bring along friends and family.

Q. What time does it finish?

A. The tour itself is scheduled to finish around 12.30pm. People will then have some time to look around the shop before making our way back to the Heatons Centre. It's a one hour journey so, all being well with traffic, we hope to return by around 2pm
