Stockport Council are carrying out a public consultation on proposed increases in charges for the care services that support people to live independently in their own homes:

  • Home care – when a carer visits a person at home on a regular basis to offer personal care and support with things like washing and dressing.
  • Day Services – for people who benefit from structured activities and social interaction whilst also offering a break for carers.
  • Extra care – where an on-site team of staff provide care and support to people living in a sheltered housing environment.
  • Telecare – a monitoring and response service that helps to protect and support people. Sensors are placed in the home which raise the alarm in the event of a fall or any other emergency

We know that these are all services that Stockport carers and the people they care for rely on every day. It is therefore crucial that carers' voices are heard loud and clear in this process. Please click on the link below to complete the short survey (only 7 questions) and get everybody you know to complete it too!
