Dave’s Nature Rambles focus on enjoying the natural world, getting out in the fresh air and socialising with others. Many of the rambles are short and accessible, please see individual walk descriptions for details.
Walks usually take place from 10am – 12pm.
Cost: attendees usually pay for their own refreshments.

Wednesday 6th April – POOTLING AT POYNTON
A circular walk looking at a few early blooms, the local bird life and a few insects whilst taking in the tranquillity of this fine area. 50 species is the aim whilst strolling along.
Thursday 19th May – SPRING AT GATLEY CARRS
A gentle stroll looking at various aspects of the natural world with a picnic finish if the weather plays fair. An ever-improving site with plenty to discuss.
Tuesday 19th July – FLOWERS OF FLETCHER MOSS
A botanical walk, enjoy the joys of wild flowers and the many bugs that inhabit this delightful area. Galls, the odd fungal specimen and a few birds will be thrown in too.
Thursday 15th September – ROAMING AT ROMAN LAKES
A few early fungi, a fine selection of flowers, open water and a serene escapism all enhanced by good company, a brew and some cake to finish.
Wednesday 19th October – FUNGI AT FORMBY
A trip out on the minibus to the Sefton Coast were we will have a fungal wander and hopefully find a few special species.
