Signpost will be taking part in this year's Get Online Week (18th - 24th October) by offering two different sessions to support carers. Both sessions will be offered on two different days.

Event 1

Using technology to support your caring role

  • Tuesday 19th October, 10am - 12pm, Stockport One Hub 

  • Thursday 21st October, 6pm - 8pm, Heatons Centre 

We will be running two sessions and giving carers an overview about different ways that technology can help in your caring role. One way that caring can be made easier is by using the Jointly app and we will give a run through and demo of how to download and use it. We will also chat about the use of Alexa and other forms of technology, such as the website which you can use for benefits advice.

Event 2

Get Online Drop-in

  • Wednesday 20th October, 3pm - 5pm, Heatons Centre 

  • Monday 25th October, 10am - 12pm, Heatons Centre 

We've heard from lots of carers who have felt isolated during the pandemic and who have also been unable to access any support online. Join us at the Heatons Centre during one of our drop-ins for a series of online tutorials and support to help you be more tech-savvy!

During the drop-ins we will be looking at a series of online tutorials created by the Good Things Foundation to make you feel more computer confident. To preview the courses that will be available, take a look at our Learn My Way page.
