We currently have the following opportunities for volunteers:
Trustees/Board Members – Specifically people with significant experience in finance and strategic planning. Please contact us for further information.
Fabulous Fundraisers – We always welcome people that have an idea about raising money for our organisation, whether it’s organising a fashion show, being a baker, or building relationships with local businesses.
Handy Helpers – We have a range of events and activities that we arrange for carers, and welcome volunteers to help give the carers a break by brewing up, having a chat and helping to tidy up afterwards (not that they’re a messy lot, but we like to keep things ship shape!)
Super Signpost Champions – We are asked to have stalls, stands and representation at all sorts of community events. We’d love to go to them all, but it’s just not possible! Our Champions represent the organisation, and our carers, out and about with information stands and a whole host of publicity material and help us spread the word about what we do across Stockport.
Changing Times Volunteers – These volunteer positions are for current or experienced carers who are willing to be trained to provide peer support to carers going through a difficult transition such as a loved one going into a care home or a loved one passing away.
